Swim a Song
Parent & Child (4-24 months)
'Swim a Song' is an alternative, fun,
innovative and effective program for introducing adults with
babies or very young children to the exciting world of
Aquatics. It provides an effective teaching aid for
adults to use with their own children from birth and for swimming
teachers, group leaders and program operators to adapt to a
formal commercial program or Swim School.
'Swim a Song' fills the gap in teaching
provision for children aged 4 months attending with an adult.
Lesson plans conveniently encourage successful completion and
attainment of the Amateur Swimming Association 'Duckling'
series of awards.'Swim a Song' incorporates water
safety, free movement, structured play, exercise to music, and
guidance in physical and educational development.

All students new to Swimming Stages must start here. In these first 2 weeks, students are taught and
assessed on basic swim skills. Students who complete this class will then be eligible to be placed in an
everyday or maintenance class for their assessed Swimming Stage. This class builds a strong
foundation for your student's swim experience.
